Current Situation
While some institutions offer a partially digital admissions process, there are still manual and paper-based requirements such as recommendations or paper forms. On the back end, admission committees may use in-person meeting or act individually without a 360-degree view of an applicant.
Goals and Objectives
Use online forms and portals to provide an end-to-end digital admissions workflow. This would enable students/parents to submit all application materials and for all those involved in the review and acceptance process to see the work of others, as well as the entire application process for each applicant.
Technology Deployed
Blockchain for credentialing and audit trails; digital signatures for approvals, student or web portals, online forms, collaboration platforms, dashboards and analytics, CRM software, and cybersecurity tools (e.g., MFA)
Use Case Summary
Both the front and back ends of the admissions process should have a digital workflow with all stages of the process, and accompanying forms, available and shared online to the appropriate users.
