Current Situation
Health management is inconsistent in hotels, restaurants, and travel providers across governments and regions. To monitor and track the health of guests are problematic with current privacy legislations that place health data in a higher scope of PII, and real-time tracking is inconsistent and difficult to execute as it needs to be integrated into day-to-day operations.
Goals and Objectives
Next-generation health management will monitor and track health symptoms and status of guests and employees as well as cleaning protocols, proactively alerting when areas require maintenance and logging and when cleaning tasks are completed. Temperature scanning of guests will be able to pinpoint elevated temperatures of guests/travelers in a crowd, and systems can be utilized to ensure social distancing and mask mandates are being adhered to by guests/travelers and employees.
Technology Deployed
Blockchain, thermal scanners, biometric scanners, video cameras, AI, IoT, RFID, QR codes, robotics, decentralized identification, SSI, and network technology
Use Case Summary
Health and safety management is a high priority to keep both guests and staff safe. Next-generation health and safety management will require smart, connected tools that will trace and track touch points and send proper alerts/notifications when anomalies are noted in real time, while adhering to privacy considerations for guests. Decentralized identification will expand the use of digital health passes as part of a single system of record that guests will control themselves.
