Current Situation
Workers in the field conducting field studies, visiting clients, managing crises away from the office often have limited data access case files, reports, and so forth via paper-based systems. This wastes valuable time and limits abiity for real-time decision support.
Goals and Objectives
Connected field workers are able to use mobile and GPS-enabled devices with specific mobile applications to manage their case files and clients while not in the office setting. Much more efficient, these tools create a real-time or near-real-time operating picture that can be shared appropriately.
Technology Deployed
Mobile-enabled software, wearables, tablets, ruggedized tables, smart phones, augmented reality tools, location-based (GIS enabled) apps and services, and remote video
Use Case Summary
Connected field workers draw on mobile, cloud, and analytical tools to work with social services clients in their homes or other non-office settings. Digital case files and other applications support all aspects of their work.
