Current Situation
Many schools learn of emerging threats too late when it is possible to mitigate damage or loss of life. While schools have security cameras, emergency notification systems, automatic door locks and other security measures in place, schools have limited technical capabilities to enable rapid detection of and response to emerging threats such as active shooters.
Goals and Objectives
Detect large-scale threats/disasters (e.g., bomb threats and active shooters) sooner, collecting sensor data or other real-time information to better understand and respond to incidents.
Technology Deployed
IoT sensors, cloud-enabled platforms, wearable technology, drones, deployables, CCTV and smart cameras, advanced analytics, robotics, safety alerting, and Bluetooth-enabled early warning systems
Use Case Summary
Deploying next-generation technology solutions, sensors, cameras, drones, and robotic deployables helps more quickly detect and manage incidents and provides better quality information to school administrators and first responders.
